Roxana Picture

Hi, my name is Roxana. I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW# 98056), currently pre-licensed and is currently being supervised by a Licensed Clinician. I am Trained in Evidence-Based Practices to promote and motivate individuals and communities toward positive well-being lifestyles. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and guides clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths to have a more meaningful life experience. It is important to create a safe space to process, without judgment, and nurture the courage to be imperfect. I have experience in working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and am LGBTQIA+ friendly.

As a woman of color from immigrant parents, born and raised in Los Angeles, learning about the Critical Race and Intersectionality theories made me more cognizant of social justice issues. Therefore, rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling. My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions and Mindfulness Practices to help individuals achieve personal growth, decrease negative thinking, and promoting self-efficacy.

Throughout my experience, I have enhanced my specialized training by gaining an understanding of how power and privilege affect intersectional issues and their effect on an individual's emotional and physical well-being. These experiences and acquired knowledge have provided me with skills in utilizing Interpersonal and Exposure Treatments to help individuals feel empowered and confident.

Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT#139559)
Pronouns: She/Her/ Hers

Natalie Picture

Welcome, my name is Natalie. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #139559).

I have worked in the mental health sector for over ten years.  I’ve worked with clients who experienced severe and persistent mental illnesses, substance use/abuse, chronic medical health conditions, chronic homelessness, parole/probation, and at-risk youth.  Throughout my career in connecting with others in trauma-informed care, I’m very mindful that each person wants to be heard and validated without judgment.

I come from a psychodynamics orientation in my practice, meaning we look at the subconscious patterns of behavior/thought process and bring it to our awareness.  At times, our minds may not recall what events triggered us, but all the memories are stored in our bodies.  This is where I incorporate mindfulness and a somatic approach into therapy sessions in which we observe what is happening with the body in the present moment as we share stories from our past.  I create a safe space in therapy to explore these sensations with empathy so it can be healed and cultivate healthier ways to thrive in the world.

I am also clinically trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a highly effective and evidence-based approach for trauma resolution.  Using eye movements or other bilateral stimulations, EMDR helps process traumatic experiences, reduce distress, and promote healing.

I am an advocate for the BIPOC community and a LGBTQ+ ally.  I’m culturally sensitive to the various intersectionalities one faces in navigating society and I welcome clients to share their experiences in therapy.
